What kind of band are you looking for?
Depending on the type of business you operate, you need to consider what type of belt to use on your conveyor.
Belts suitable for conveyor systems
If the conveyor is to be part of a conveyor system that includes side conveyors, pushers, and deflector plows, the sides of the belt must be rigid and tightly tensioned on the conveyor’s slide table to prevent wear on the belt. The belt’s friction should also be taken into account to prevent damage to the belt or the goods during lateral movement on the belt. This belt type is also suitable for workstations along the belt where goods are to be unloaded and handled.
Specialized belts for your business
When choosing a belt type, it is important that the belt complies with the regulations and meets the functional requirements of your business. Therefore, the material of the belt is a key factor in ensuring that it is suitable for your operations.
- Are you transporting heavy cargo that requires an extra-durable belt?
- Does your operation involve handling liquids, equipment, or ambient temperatures that could damage the belt?
These could include, for example, food-grade belts where food comes into direct contact with the belt, or UV-resistant belts used in hygiene-related operations.

Conveyor belt
The advantage of modular belts is their flexibility; for example, if a section is damaged, you only need to replace the specific damaged part of the belt. You can also adjust the belt’s size if you need to change the length of the conveyor or similar. The downside, however, is that modular belts can stretch over time and thus lose tension. This can impair the belt’s performance. However, modular belts should not be tensioned too tightly to counteract reduced tension. If the belt is tensioned too tightly, its structure can bend and break, which can result in the belt coming off the track or breaking.
