The band

The frame
The frame provides support for the entire conveyor belt and must be sufficiently robust to ensure that the belt can carry the material being transported. Frames are typically made of steel, aluminum, or stainless steel, depending on the requirements. The choice of frame material and design is crucial to ensuring that the conveyor operates reliably and efficiently, especially in harsh or demanding environments.
Steel frames are commonly used in heavy-duty industrial applications where durability and strength are essential. Steel offers high load-bearing capacity and resistance to impacts and shocks, making it suitable for conveyors that handle heavy or bulky materials.
Aluminum frames are lighter and are often used in applications where mobility or ease of handling is required. Aluminum offers a good balance between strength and weight and is resistant to corrosion, making it a good choice for environments where moisture or chemicals are present.

Rolls
Rollers are one of the most critical components of a conveyor belt. They ensure that the conveyor belt stays in place and moves smoothly. There are two types of rollers in a conveyor belt: idler rollers and drive rollers. Idler rollers are positioned along the entire length of the conveyor belt, and their main function is to tension the conveyor belt and keep it in place.
Drive rollers are the rollers that transmit power from the motor to the conveyor belt itself and propel the belt forward. They are located at the start or end of the belt and function by creating friction between the belt and the roller. It is important to select the correct type of drive roller based on the belt’s length and material, as a properly adjusted drive roller can increase the conveyor’s efficiency and reduce energy consumption. An incorrect drive roller, on the other hand, can cause the belt to slip, run unevenly, move sluggishly, and become misaligned, which negatively impacts the belt’s performance.
Engine
The motor drives the conveyor forward and is essential for ensuring smooth movement of the conveyor belt. The motor can be external or integrated into the drive roller. Choose a motor that suits your needs—whether it’s electric, hydraulic, or pneumatic.

Lateral control
Side guides are used to keep the material in place and prevent it from slipping off during transport. Side guides can therefore play a major role on a belt conveyor. Side guides can be installed on both sides of the belt and are particularly important in situations where the material tends to be unstable or difficult to control, such as when transporting bulk goods, small components, or irregularly shaped materials.
