A used Vertical Lift Module freed up storage space when Rutgerson Marin renovated its raw materials warehouse
Since 1976, Rutgerson Marin AB has been supplying boat builders around the world with equipment such as hatches, blocks, connectors, and deck fittings. The business is based in the sailing hub of Marstrand, where both manufacturing and warehousing are located.
In 2022, Rutgerson began expanding its raw materials warehouse, a project that reduced the number of loading bays and thus the availability of unloading and loading slots.
As a solution, they decided to build up a larger stock of raw materials, but this naturally required more storage space.
To free up space, the decision was made to dismantle parts of the finished goods inventory that had been stored on shelving units—these products were instead moved into a used Vertical Lift Module.
Rutgerson purchased a 2006 Megalift FSE 7.1. Rutgerson had also requested a quote for a new Vertical Lift Module, but due to the cost and the short delivery time, they opted for a used unit from Relevator.
