SGA Conveyor Sorting System 2023

We are now able to offer a top-of-the-line sorting system from SGA Conveyor. The system has been used as a demo unit, so it has never been in active use(!). This pusher-sorting system provides a highly efficient solution primarily for distribution or e-commerce, with the capacity to handle up to an impressive 4,000 packages per hour. This system is designed to meet the needs of businesses that require truly fast and reliable sorting with numerous sorting options. The system features 64 different sorting directions, providing great flexibility and enabling easy integration into various sorting flows. See the drawing/layout under “Downloadable Documents”

The system is compatible with a wide variety of package sizes and types, from small bags to larger boxes. The minimum package size is 150x150x20 mm, while the largest can be up to 600x500x500 mm. The system can handle packages weighing up to 25 kg, making it suitable for a wide range of products.

The sorting system is equipped with a state-of-the-art Datalogic camera that reads both barcodes and QR codes to ensure accurate package identification. The sorting system is also equipped with a Datalogic volume measurement system that measures length, width, and height, ensuring accurate sorting based on these dimensions.

The sorting lanes are 4,000 mm long and have a width of 900 mm, providing ample space for unloading sorted packages. The system’s total length is approximately 80 meters, but it can be installed in multiple phases, meaning it can be adapted to existing facilities or to an expanding operational area.

The system is CE-marked, but additional safety netting is recommended if the system is not installed against a wall to prevent operators from coming into contact with the pushers. Installation typically takes about 3 weeks, and SGA’s service technicians will work closely with you to ensure a smooth installation.

The sorting systems can be easily integrated with a higher-level system. In addition, sorting logic can be managed directly in the control cabinet/HMI.

The system comes equipped with an Atlas Copco screw compressor, known for its quiet operation and efficiency.
